Come by & see what's happening at Old Hampton Store & Village...music...arts & crafts...barbecue...and much more!

Welcome to the Old Hampton Store & Village, located at the foot of Grandfather Mountain and just minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway. Our 1920 general store and gristmill features its own 100% natural stoneground cornmeal, grits and buckwheat pancake mix. You'll also find homemade jams, jellies, preserves, apple butter, and dozens of pickled products, cheeses and country ham.

If you're in the mood for shopping, the country store carries pottery, baskets, enamel ware, handmade rugs, cast iron and a variety of unusual kitchen products.

Located inside the store is Uncle Lee's Barbeque. Sit inside on the front porch and enjoy the best barbeque in the South, served on sourdough buns baked fresh daily at the country store. To top off the meal, try the Banana Pudding or a slice of homemade pie a la mode!

Next door to the Old Hampton Store, you'll find 87 Ruffin Street, a gallery featuring southern folk art, pottery, wood carving, blacksmithing, weaving, blown glass and jewelry. Owner, Abigail Sheets, hand picks art from all over the South for her unique gallery housed in the 1920 Hampton homeplace.

In addition to the gallery, Old Hampton Village offers workshops and classes in pottery, painting, mosaic, jewelry, and wood carving in the Studio beside 87 Ruffin Street Gallery.Come visit us at Old Hampton Village in Linville and have fun in the present while you step back into the simpler times of the past!
